DIBELS

Looking for a quick look at your students progress, check out my DIBELS sheets for K-2.  There is a page for BM scores as well as a page for PM scores.  TPT

Days We've Been In School

Everyone does the Days We've Been In School chart in a different way.  I love having a visual of all the numbers in order so kids can see how far they have came.  I created this freebie to use in any classroom.  It has a title page for each grade (K-5) and 180 numbers, the numbers are also coded Even (Yellow) and Odd (Purple). There is also a rainbow 100 in case you want it to be fancy!  Leave feedback if you download! Thanks!

Waiting...

I feel like life is constantly about waiting.  Tonight while I was waiting on my hubs to get off work, I worked on a Sight Word project that I have seen floating around on Pinterest.  It is about sight word money; while I love the product that is out there, I hate paying money for things I can recreate and add my own touch to.  That being said, I created some money (and a blank template) to use as a reward for knowing the sight word (on the money).  After "earning" each lists words, they can cash them in for a small reward.  For example, after earning ten they can cash them in for a soda.... or whatever  you use in your room as rewards.  There are six "dollars" on each page, and I have made the following words already: I, can, we, the, like, a, of, saw, love, will, see, go, to, have, is, play, off, out, who, come, are, for, you, this, do, and, what, little, said, no, they, here, was, she, he, has, look, with, my, me, where, when, from.

Ask and ye shall receive... *well sort of*

I was asked if I could alter a version of something I created way back and I didn't think I would be able to do it. However, thanks to PDFescape, I was able to recreate a version of my Kindergarten Assessment Sheet (one page) with editable fields.  I mean, seriously who has 200 bucks to drop for Adobe Pro?? Not me!

So, here are the two versions of the Assessment sheet, one with SES's "Popcorn Words" and the other with editable fields.  Let me know what you think! :)

Goodsearch

There are so many simple ways to help support schools, clipping box tops, labels for education, Sunny-D labels, etc... Another way our school can be helped is by using "goodsearch" SES.  It earns a penny a search for every search you do (not using the same wording). The search is powered by Yahoo, so you yield the exact same results as you would by searching Yahoo (and not earning money!) It adds up quickly!

Check it out, search for the school in your area and if it's not there, think about having it added and spread the word!

So far (since I started and when I remember) I've earned $11.77 for SES; my challenge for you is to earn (by December) $5 for the school you work for/have kids at, or help our school.  It won't be hard, you have 153 days to do 500 searches.  *think about how often you search for things...I know I search for teaching things at least five times a day, and during the school year, much more often then that!*

TPT stores I Love

Since today is my anniversary, I thought I would share a few TPT products I love....

The first is from Susan Morrow's store--it is a group of posters that talk about being _____Smart; based on the MIs.  I absolutely love how colorful and simple these posters are!  MI Posters Here
This is her blog http://keepemthinking.com/  Check her out!

A second AMAZING TPT store that I love is Jodi Southard.  She is actually teaching just a few miles from where I live.  She has AMAZING products.  You can find her on TPT or here on her blog or here on Facebook.

Another TPT store I love is  1st Grade Hip-Hop-Hooray, her products are so fun and playful! You can also check her out on her blog.

Another AMAZING store is Teaching-in-Flip-Flops.  I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love her products! They are so stinking amazing.  I could simply think that because I'm slightly obsessed with chevrons and a lot of her products are in formats for everyone! (polkadots, chevron, etc) She's also a blogger

There are so many other stores that rock on TPT, but these are some of my favorites.  What are yours?

Stations.......

I'm not going to lie... I have worked with stations for like five seconds in my teaching career, but this is what I did in the room I was in, and it worked well. I had students grouped into four groups, and they went to certain spots in the room to collect what they were going to need for the first station they were at.  Spot 1-pencil/eraser, Spot 2-folder, Spot 3-papers, Spot 4-basket (books, highlighters, crayons, etc were inside).  Then I rotated the four groups around the four spots by using a signal.  The signal of the day was a popcorn word *or spelling word*.  This took about five extra minutes, but it helped to focus students into what we were going to be working on. Plus, everyone had everything they needed and didn't have to stop what they were doing to get a pencil.

Also included are a few station organizers (slap it on a file folder, tape the file folder to a filing cabinet, and voila!), my "material hospital" page...and a "signal of the day" page.

As far as signal of the day, I have been in rooms where students use the same signal all day long for EVERY transition, and it helps!

ScootPad

Have you checked out ScootPad.com yet? I stumbled upon it last summer and sort of forgot about it!  I plan on playing around on it some more this summer. I think it's a great website that can be used as a computer center.  You can personalize it for your whole class and have them focus on skills or build skills they lack/thrive in.  Check it out!

Treasure's

The school I work at uses the reading series from Treasures, and the first grade team has a chart to keep track of all their data assessment.  I made an updated version of it, as well as a version for second grade.  Enjoy!
Second Grade
First Grade

The Data Assessments include Spelling, Vocabulary, Comprehension, ISTEP, Fluency, Grammar, and a place for notes.

You can also download from my TPT store: 2nd Grade TPT  1st Grade on TPT

From the Desk of....

I am slightly obsessed with chevron prints.  I made this simple "From the Desk of" note page.  Enjoy!

Stations

The school that I am currently at uses Literacy Stations.  I like them a lot, but have always thought it would be best to use the same worksheets for as many stations as possible (meaning the word work station is always the same just different words); so I created what I had in mind.  Please download the freebie on here, and if you want the full product go to TPT.  Station Freebie

Changes...

I am probably one of the most nit-picky people I know, but I hated the crazy random binder tabs I had in my binder, so I changed them--now they are all cohesive and I even typed the labels on my label maker.... (I swear some days my LM is my BFF!) So, here are two pictures of the new inside tabs....

Also, I wanted a Table of Contents, and typed it up using PEA Heather Michelle.  If you want a copy, it's yours!

I was crafty!

I don't consider myself a crafty person, but I've taken a few stabs to have some awesome educational things.  I've tried to link up with the original spot I got the idea from if I could!

 Teaching binder---it's organized using http://www.teachersnotebook.com/product/FlipFlopTeach/binder-organizers-chevron
My lesson plan sheets adapted from a free lesson
plan off TpT http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Weekly-Common-Core-Lesson-Plan-for-Kindergarten-Word-Format-363838
Book shelf--used magazine holders from Ikea (found on Amazon!) and labels from http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/72-Chevron-Classroom-Library-Labels-701117
Used labels from TPT http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Editable-Polka-Dot-Labels-710755 are similar to them- to organize all my teaching goodies... the "lego" boxes are old baby wipe containers my MIL saved!

I labeled a bunch of BINDER clips and sorted my papers into binders.  This way I can quickly look at what I have in each binder.

PS Have you noticed my OBSESSION with chevron!?! :)
